Mostly because they signed up to the be the guinea pigs for my first restaurant week. I hope you all have rewarded them nicely.
Especially as there's good food (I hope) and prizes to be won for checking them out. Olivia stands to be the only person to get one of the cookbooks I have to give out, as she's submitted her review of Imhotep in Crown Heights.
And she's lying: I FORCED her to eat that Bumble Bar.
I received a call today from a woman who wanted to know which Park Slope restaurants were participating. She was quite annoyed when I could only give her one.
She was even more annoyed that I couldn't name the newly opened vegetarian restaurant in the nabe, so much so that she had to ask me again.
She hung up before I got to say I only care about the restaurants I'm promoting. For now, as we should definitely try and do what we can to make sure our vegetarian and vegan dining options stay open.
But as it turns out the restaurant I was thinking of didn't open, she's out of luck anyway. But as 'Snice comes that way in December, there'll be something to look forward to.
